Who's next??

So today, I learned the bad news.. My 17 year old cousin had passed away Sunday. He died inside his house due to a fire.. It always makes me wonder who's next and why does this keep happening? I've lost 1-2 lives every year for the past 6 years. I get a bit stronger because of how used to death I am getting, however I just don't understand why.
